BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP:

As a Local IFT member, you benefit by being part of a large and diverse community of food scientists, students and others who work in the field of food production or foodservice.  All members should also be members of the National IFT group.  In the local section you will find opportunities to network with others in the local food industry, you will have a chance to learn from meetings and presentations.  You will also have a chance to develop leadership skills by volunteering for various positions within the section.   We also provide scholarships to local students in food science and related studies as a way of giving back to the community.

These local resources give you the tools to grow professionally, and to play a leadership role in advancing the food science and technology field.
